What is telehealth?
Telehealth is a way to use online services to help patients receive information to help with their treatment. The therapist will evaluate through questions and examination of movement through video and audio to then provide information to the patient in education of movement, assistance through their daily activities, exercises and pain managements.
What do I need?
In order to participate in a telehealth visit you will need the following – A computer with good upload and download speeds. – A microphone and speakers associated with the computer. – Good space to be able to move so that the therapist can see you. – An open mind grow in a new way.
how do i get a visit through telehealth?

is telehealth as comprehensive as in office treatment?
As seeing the patient and being able to have direct contact with the patient to provide hands on care is the best approach, Telehealth is a wonderful alternative to assist patients who are unable to attend treatment due to illness, disaster, or travel restrictions.
is it covered through insurance?
Telehealth is a new and developing division of Physical Therapy. Many insurance companies are evaluating their coverage and are providing limited coverage. There is a discounted rate for this on a cash basis, at $20 a visit. Patients and providers can call to ensure what is covered through each individual plan. With the current COVID-19 crisis, Horizon Cigna and AmeriHealth are allowing for Teleheatlh coverage.
How long is a Online visit?
An online visit will be anywhere between 15 and 45 minutes. Most will average about 30 minutes. The visits will consist of reviewing how you are feeling and looking at ways to make you feel better. We will review your exercises and advance them as we can. We will also provide education into what you can do at home to assist in your treatment.
